Community Health Improvement Program for Intellectual Disabilities (CHIP-ID) is a community-centered program focused on creating practical, inclusive pathways to better health for people with intellectual disabilities. We partner with individuals, families and organizations to offer accessible research studies and wellness programs that support movement, healthy eating and sustainable lifestyle habits.
Their team is made up of self-advocates, researchers, dietitians, exercise physiologists, occupational therapists and other health science professionals who bring interdisciplinary expertise to all our work. We bridge community engagement, applied research and innovative virtual offerings to reduce health disparities and expand access to quality health resources. Through collaboration and inclusion, CHIP-ID strives to support long-term health and well-being across the lifespan.
Watch this video to see CHIP-ID in action! You have to hear what our amazing self-advocates, Greta Foye and Katie Morrison, who are also CHIP-ID employees, have to say about CHIP-ID programs.
