Virtual Social Group for Teens
with Lauren Holmes
These Virtual Social Groups for Teens provide a structured, creative, and dynamic environment for participants to socialize, learn, and have fun together, without the hassle of leaving the house or arranging transportation. Lauren Holmes, the facilitator of the group, who is our Virtual Life Skills Specialist, ensures every individual is included in meaningful ways during the group activities. This is also an awesome opportunity to build meaningful relationships with new friends who are both local and from other states in our country.
All registered participants will receive a Zoom link from the instructor.
Teen Social Group
with CJ Vallejo
This group will consist of structured activities and semi-structured free time to help self-advocates ages 12–18 build relationships with friends, spend time in their community, and practice a variety of skills.
To provide meaningful engagement and adequate support, participation is limited to 20 teens each week.
If your teen requires a higher level of support, please review our High Support Needs Social Group before registering to help ensure we can provide a safe and successful experience for everyone.
High Support Needs Social Group
with Megan DeBoom
DSI's High Support Needs Social Group is a welcoming, structured space where teens and adults with high support needs can connect, engage, and have fun alongside peers. Led by DSI's Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Megan DeBoom, teen and adult self-advocates who benefit from a smaller group setting will be offered a variety of social activities designed with each participant's needs in mind.
Participants will have the opportunity to build meaningful social connections in a supported environment.
The High Support Needs Social Group meets once a month on Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM and is free to all participants.
We look forward to welcoming your family!
This is not a therapeutic small group. Staff to participant ratio will be kept low to ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
