On July 9 - July 12, at Down Syndrome Innovations, the Boys Town National Research Hospital will be conducting reserach to understand how hearing develops and improve hearing healthcare for individuals with Down syndrome of all ages.
Participants hear sounds that are presented through a speaker or headphones. Sometimes there are background sounds, such as noise or people talking. They often use a gme format to ensure the listening study is interested. Sounds are played at a comfortable level.
The study is seeking individuals who:
- Have Down syndrome
- Are between 6 months and 25 years old
- Do NOT wear a cochlear implant
This study will take place at Down Syndrome Innovations (5916 Dearborn St., Mission, KS, 662602). On July 9th through July 12th, 2026. There are four sessions each day, so a total of 16 spots. There is also a $20 per hour compensation for this study.
