Request Intake for Skill-Building Therapies (OT, SLP, BCBA)
with Megan DeBoom
We offer family-centered, strengths-based therapeutic services designed to promote long-term success to people with Down syndrome in their unique home and community life. Our dynamic therapy sessions focus on functional, community-based and home-based skills in the domains of community participation, communication, life transitions, social/emotional, sensory, and activities of daily living. Our therapy team includes an occupational therapist (OT), a speech-language pathologist (SLP), and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Children, teens, and adult self-advocates will work with a therapist on goals that are meaningful to your family.
Visit our website page for Therapies and Mental Health Services, to review our offerings and complete an interest form and a DSI team member will follow up with an intake conversation to discuss your loved one's needs and learn more about how our services can support your family.
Our intake process is complimentary. Fees-for-service for the elected service and the available funding subsidies will be discussed in the intake. Families sign a service agreement prior to any billing. Payment plans are available.

MPACT's 10 Steps of the Special Education Process Video Series
Down Syndrome Innovations is committed to vetting and mobilizing resources for our families, and this specific resource we are recommending is from MPACT. MPACT, Missouri's Parent Training and Information Center, has a mission to empower families to advocate for themselves so that children with special education needs can reach their full potential in education and life – through support, training, and education.
MPACT is offering this video series:10 Steps of The Special Education Process Video Series
Navigating the special education process can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Missouri Parents Act (MPACT) created this 10-part video series to help families understand each key step of the special education journey under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Each short video breaks down a specific part of the process. From evaluation and eligibility to IEP meetings and progress tracking—so you can become a confident partner in your child’s education.
Watch the full series below to learn how to advocate effectively and ensure your child receives the support they need to thrive in school.
